I'm going to put this to the back end faults team for you as they rejected the escalation but they will be able to get you an update.

Data rate:11.215 Mbps / 52.964 Mbps
Maximum data rate:11.166 Mbps / 52.970 Mbps
Noise margin:5.9 / 5.0
Line attenuation:7.4 / 15.4
Signal attenuation:7.4 / 19.4

Fastest speed we've had on the D/L since moving here, but i still don't feel its right.

but i don't think openreach are going to do anything else

Scratch that Will..

Data rate:11.581 Mbps / 40.669 Mbps
Maximum data rate:11.581 Mbps / 41.636 Mbps
Noise margin:6.2 / 5.1
Line attenuation:9.5 / 16.7
Signal attenuation:9.4 / 18.9

i've disconnected and hit 40mbps again Smiley

Is there someone who is particularly willing to accept a phone call with a hell of a load of abuse? because quite frankly. I am now absolutely sick to death of the service I am receiving. (not customer service, you have done your best Will)

i am well aware it is not plus nets fault, but by Christ this is absolutely tedious.

And I've disconnected again 🤣.

It really is laughable at this point. How good are open reach systems to detect 0 faults when clearly there is one. I feel like they are stuck in the 19th century with their equipment testers.

Problem with intermittent faults is they are not there when looked for. This is characteristic of wet joints.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi elbanko44, it looks like Will has ownership of this for you so he'll be in touch with updates for you.

I've just checked in the meantime and we're waiting for an update from Openreach, I'll make sure that gets chased up ASAP and we'll be in touch with an update.

Re: Slower Fibre speeds than originally guaranteed and about half the speeds the line is capable of

An update of my own - i have not been at home to witness how stable the line is, however each time i've popped in to do some checks the broadband speed has been creeping up and up.

It is now at 60mbps which suggests maybe the line is stabilising and the DLM is recognising it is capable of higher speeds?

i will hopefully be at home more often to see how stable the line is though. But so far the speeds are going in the right direction!

Hi @elbanko44 !

That's great to hear that your speeds are moving in the right direction Smiley

Just let us know if you do need anything else or if this does begin to change.
