Contracting out BTOR work

Please stop contracting out when the customer has paid for Openreach to come out. Your contractor's are, and always have been, incompetent, bone-idle bodge artists.

Re: Contracting out BTOR work

I think you'll find that it's Open Reach themselves that are doing the contracting and not Plusnet, I guess they (Open Reach) have a lot of work to do which in itself is worrying!

Re: Contracting out BTOR work

Is that so? Well, they're giving themselves a bad name using who they do.

Re: Contracting out BTOR work

In this context who are 'they'? I assume you're referring to Open Reach?

Re: Contracting out BTOR work

to be fair to the contractor there, some of the actual OR guys struggle to find the cabinets too.
as the system they have for locating them gives them a pretty vague location. usually just the street and not specifically where on the street it is.

some of the cabs here are partially covered by hedges etc.

I guess it looks as though 'they' are 'BTOR' who if I remember rightly are not contactable by the public?

Re: Contracting out BTOR work

no, as you are not their customer.
you deal with your supplier.

it's the same as electricity, you don't contact the national grid if you have supply problems, you cannot your supplier.

Re: Contracting out BTOR work

National Grid only deals with the high voltage part of the network. Supplies to households are provided by District Network Operating Companies and one can contact them in the case for example of power cuts. One does not contact the company that one pays for electricity usage.

Re: Contracting out BTOR work

ok bad example, but the points stands.
we are not the customer of OR, so you would contact your supplier in any case.

Don't worry, they'll all be nationalised after the election! Funny

Next you'll be suggesting it goes back to the GPO. If the election goes that badly, this country ain't going to be worth living in.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
