I have already tried changing channels with no difference in service.
This needs sorting as am an unhappy new customer.

You can install something like Wifi Analytics by Netgear onto your mobile device. It will indicate signal strengths, channel congestion (suggests which channels to use) and more. That way you'd know if it's just weak signal, interference due to congested channels and so on. You can walk around your house diagnosing the black spots, weak spots, strong areas and so on. Can then play around with router placement to give best coverage etc.
Not a solution, but an aid to diagnosis as to why your devices don't connect well to your hub. It may simply be weak signal and you're too far, material of property is too insulating, rubbish hub (my first plus net router was dire). 5g btw is worse for signal strength, so check if you're using the 5g or 2.4g is it?
Something to try

Use one of them to track your wifi signal and see whats happening.
That way you'll find out if:
The wifi signal is disapearing
The wifi signal is weak
The wifi signal is fine but its your broadband connection is dropping out.
The router is too far away
Etc
I had one case (I fix stuff on the side) where the lady of the house would not have the router on view. She stuffed it in an alcove and put a large metal framed picture in front of it.
Result - very poor wifi signal coverage.
Hiding it behind the tv can have the same effect.
In the ladies case, moving it to the top of the alcove to a shelf so that it was out of eyeline fixed the issue.
