Looking to purchase new router/modem

Hi everyone, happy new year, I am looking to upgrade the standard modem/router that plusnet supplied, can anyone suggest which would be the best to buy, pro's con's etc and roughly what price I could be looking at, many thanks, cheers

There are many possible answers.

It comes down to what you find unsatisfactory with the Hub One.

A good answer for many is a secondhand BT Smarthub 6. There are instructions on this forum to configure these for Plusnet.

Alternatively, TP-Link make various routers one of which may meet your needs.

I bought a few routers from the TP Link Deco range which I've been happy with. I turned off the wi-fi on my plusnet router and plugged the Primary Deco into the router. Then have a second Deco upstairs linked to the Primary one that effectivly boosts the signal. Very pleased with it, walking around the house with phone etc seems to seamlessy swich between the two  routers and now we have decent signal all around the house.
