Re: Connection issues

@jab1

If this Full Fibre there will be no phone number 🙄

@colinbdunkley

Which Full Fibre package are you on?

Is the ONT connected directly to the Hub and which Hub are you using?

Re: Connection issues

@Dan_the_Van It's Sunday - brain's only on half-power 😉

As I said earlier, I'll leave to others - should have stuck to my original statement.

Re: Connection issues

The only useful bit on those two pictures is the horrendous ping figure - I'm not surprised at your speeds, as a result. Something, somewhere is way out of line, or introducing massive interference.

Or more likely somewhere in between, to be honest.Not my area of expertise, but that figure needs to be mid-twenties or below for a reasonable performance.

Re: Connection issues

When im online the ping will be at around 35ms then will spike at 400ms etc then go back down again. Im connected but the connection is very unstable both for wired and wireless. I wish i would get a response from PN

Re: Connection issues

You ae unlikely to get a response from PN until after the Bank Holiday weekend, but even then they may not be able to spot the cause from their testing. I would wait until you get a response - or maybe other Community members may have an idea - that 2424ms ping response on your test doesn't look good, but as I said, not really in my area of expertise.

Re: Connection issues

To rule out your end try pinging the router

Re: Connection issues

@colinbdunkley   have you switched off all other devices, and closed all other apps/programs when you do your speed tests?

Re: Connection issues

I ping the router and its 8ms, ive speedtested about a million times since yesterday every which way lol and im getting the same results. I know my Mom has the same kind of router as ive got, if i borrow hers would that work on my network for the purpose of troubleshooting? Or is the router assigned to her only?

Re: Connection issues

If you get 8ms to the router, the issue is upstream of that, and borrowing another Hub will be of no use whatsoever.

Re: Connection issues

Re: Connection issues

I doubt it, but there is nothing to stop you running a ping to the router at the times you get these high figures.
