Re: Connection issues

I'll try the other router tomorrow and if i get the same results then I know its outside my property. If its fixed then i know its my router i guess. Its the only thing I haven't tried

Re: Connection issues

What lights are showing on the ONT ? and do they change when you have problems?

Re: Connection issues

Take your router to Mom's and see if problem moves with it, then bring Mom's to yours to check.

How old is your router?

Re: Connection issues

I would expect <1ms for an ethernet connection like below...

PS C:\Windows\System32> ping 192.168.1.254

Pinging 192.168.1.254 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.254: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.254: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.254: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.1.254: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.254:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms
PS C:\Windows\System32>

Re: Connection issues

Hi folks, no the lights don't change on the ONS box. I dont lose connection, its just really bad. I used a more extensive network checker and the latency goes right up while downloading and uploading and the line jitter is around 30ms. I had around 0.8% packet loss. I have network graphs on the ps5 while playing online and it will be fine for about 15 seconds, i get a latency spike and packet loss then its ok again for another 15 seconds then repeat. My Son has the same problem playing on his Oculus

Re: Connection issues

Looks likely,

Dodgy power supplies can give weird results, include these in your testing with Mom's

Re: Connection issues

Oh really? So the adapter powering the router could be playing a factor?

Re: Connection issues

Waiting to see results of router swaps tomorrow is best way forward, then either chase PN for a replacement router FOC or  get them to sort out network problem
