number porting gone wrong

Hello forum,
I asked Plusnet if I can keep my mobile number for a while after moving to Germany. I was told I should move to EE and the process started, I got a new SIM card but there was a problem with porting numbers that day so my new SIM card was enabled on Tuesday night just before I left the UK. Now I can't get the number ported because I am not on a UK network.
EE now tells me since te number wasn't moved yet the Plusnet SIM should still be working. Unfortunately, it looks like it's been disabled now. There is no network and it shows as disconnected in the phone settings.
Is there any way to re-enable the Plusnet SIM so I can keep my number?
