Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Like to join the 8020 trial if it is still open.  Currently on the 40/10.

@DuncanM
I've just placed an order that should hopefully remedy that tomorrow. Please let me know if not.
@momsieden
FYI we'll be in touch as soon as another appointment has been arranged. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I ran a BT speedtest this morning around 7am, and various other speed test sites and there is still no change to the upload speed. It still will not go above 9.
Do I need to reboot the router (I did that last night anyway) and the modem, although the modem has never been off since the install on 24 February.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Have submitted ticket to join 80/20 trial. Have only had FTTC for 1 day and loving the 40/2 speed but happy to test for more! From the BT OR test machine, looks like line is capable of 118/39. Any plans for no upper limit! Wink

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

I have had fibre for nearly a week (6days)
I applied for 80/20 trial last Monday and was told would take a day.
I then phoned and was told definitely no later than midnight on 22nd.
I still don't have it. and I amended my ticket to say so yesterday.
I am however pleased with fibre (40/2)

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Well as we're all posting speed tests and I haven't posted one for ages, here we go:

It's all very stable now albeit slower than it was at first, sync speed hasn't changed for weeks (65443) so I'm pretty happy. Distance from cab is about 450m, BT wholesale estimate 58.1/20.

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Has anyone else noticed an improvement (decrease) in Ping times in the last few days - or am I just lucky?

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Mine have gone down a bit, but I doubt whether it's consistent across users, DLM does its thing with interleaving etc. and we live with it!

Re: 80/20 FTTC Trial Open

Indeed the product does seem to work in the reverse of what we're used to. Mine stated out at 77Mbps for a couple of weeks with amazing ping times and has steadily decreased and levelled out at a much slower speed. I have no doubt DLM has forced interleaving on hence the ping times and slower speeds.
