We run something called KBD (Knowledge Based Diagnostics) which includes a variety of tests. The tests that are most relevant to the issue you're experiencing are GEA Service Detail, BRAG History and VLAN Analysis:

Hi @iangilf
I understand you've PM'd @JonoH regarding this and advised that you're experiencing disconnections too.
Do you see more drops than indicated below?
If you do then the next step would be to arrange another engineer to investigate further and I'd recommend raising a fault to us at http://faults.plus.net letting us know over here once you've completed it.

Thanks for that @iangilf.
You'll receive notification shortly via your ongoing ticket, but just an FYI that we've now booked in an engineer appt. for Wednesday 6th March between 8am and 1pm.
Please let us know if you need anything else in the meantime.

hi just to let you know the engineer has been he was a top bloke he actually listened to me and we talked of what had been going on he made some changes to the line and he rewired inside the cab ...
he did lift and shift and my stats are
6. Data rate: | 20000 / 73792 |
7. Maximum data rate: | 31152 / 86686 |
8. Noise margin: | 12.8 / 6.4 |
9. Line attenuation: | 17.1 / 14.3 |
10. Signal attenuation: | 16.9 / 14.3 |
he said at this max attainable data rate i should be seeing the full 80 meg but he also said that plusnet might have a different profile set up on plusnets system ....he also said give it ten days to settle but what were saying if the profile is setup wrong at plusnets side it wont go any higher so can u please identify why it doesnt get above this sync rate its showing please and also when you are able to can you post an upto date GEA test please thankyou
kind regards
ian

Hi @iangilf , thanks for your post.
On running a GEA, everything is looking set up correctly. We can see below that we're showing you as in sync at 73.8mbps, on the correct 80/20 profile. That being said, we can see that the max rate seems to be hovering around 73.7:

I've also checked the connection profiles our side and ensured that the correct 80mbps profile is in effect.
As everything's set up correctly and you're receiving speeds well in excess of the minimum line estimates (63.1mbps - 80mbps), there isn't a great deal we're going to be able to do to increase the useable speed you're seeing.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance at all.

I'm afraid that as your line isn't banded we can't request a DLM reset as it would be rejected. The trial where we request DLM rests is purely designed to remove banding remotely off a line as opposed to adding or removing other configurations.

It's probably on interleaving right now because it's just been reset! I think all FTTC lines are initially on interleaving, when new or when the DLM gets reset. The interleaving will probably be removed by the DLM after a few days.
Also, when on interleaving, the max attainable rate reported by the modem tends to be somewhat higher than what you can actually get. I think it might just reach the full 80Mb, or perhaps it will be a couple of Mb under.

an update the engineer contacted me today to see how it was going i said it was ok i then went on to ask him to do a full dlm reset on my line and remove the interleaving he did this for me and now my stats are
0 Days, 0 Hours 1 Minutes 27 Seconds
20.00 Mbps / 79.99 Mbps
32771 / 82790
13.2 dB / 6.7 dB
14.1 dB
so i dont care what u say about resetting dlm doesnt help anyone it obviously does or my stats wouldnt have increased to back to perfect again
i dont know why u dont arrange with openreach to do dlms in the first place it would save so much time and frustration
anyways im happy now ....what an excellent engineer he is shame they all aint like that
