Current Line Speed (Download): 21Mbps after upgrade

My account is reporting Current Line Speed (Download): 21Mbps after upgrading to Fibre Extra

I paid for a fixed IP address when the account was set up years ago and it has been suggested that this can cause the speed to get stuck after upgrading (https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/Fibre-download-speed-is-lower-since-my-upgrade-last-we...

Before the upgrade I would get 36/10Mb - I now get 21/20Mb with the guarantee at 61.5Mb

Can this be unlocked please?

Thanks for getting in touch @NickSN 

I've corrected the profile moving it to 78mbps. Sorry about this. It'll auto-adjust with time to the right speed but the good news is that it shouldn't be restricting your speed now. Can you reboot your router and retest?

That is an immediate improvement (now about 48Mbs). Hopefully it will continue to improve further as the line works out the best sync over the next few days. Thanks for your help.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I'm having the exact same issue. My current line speed has been set down to 21Mb/s after upgrading so I'm currently limited. Please can you bump mine too?

It's still showing 20.9Mb/s. Does it take a while to update?

That should have gone through straight away, are you seeing those speeds through a wired or WiFi connection?

Both ways however on my broadband data page it still stays the current line speed is 20.9 as shown in this screen shot

@JessCV. Thanks for that, can you run a speed test through Okla/speedtest.com please and provide the results - and confirm if it's over WiFi or a wired connection that you're testing the speeds.

I just did a speed test with Ookla on both. On wireless I got 19Mb/s and on wired it was pretty much the same (for reference, before I upgraded the broadband I used to get around 32Mb/s).
