I have web space from PlusNet and I utilise CGI. My site is working except I am now getting an error when I access this address http://cgi.pcking.plus.com/metar-display.php . "

Hmmm… can't reach this page

ccgi.pcking.plus.com’s server IP address could not be found." .

Bob Pullen has successfully helped me in the past so I hope he can sort this out for me this time 🤞

Check that is the correct web address, because it lacks a DNS entry.

Thanks for your prompt response. It has been working OK for over two years and has now stopped working. I'm 72 years old so my brain cells don't function as well as I would like 😂 Here is the link from my website that until recently did work  http://pc-king.me.uk/links.htm then select "Local Airport METAR Weather Conditions"  Not sure how I can resolve this myself, I think it needs someone from PlusNet to fix it their end I imagine. Unless you know how it can be resolved?

Things usually break when a change or fault occurs.

In this case the content owners of :  http://cgi.pcking.plus.com/metar-display.php  
need to re-create the DNS entry.for : cgi.pcking.plus.com

Apologies, only just seen this.

I've hit something with a spanner and am fairly confident it will spring back to life in time for the New Year.

Getting hold of a spanner is the easy bit. Knowing precisely where and how hard to hit it is the really tricky bit!

I suspect the trigger was some unrelated account activity. Password change/reset being the likely one. This has a tendency to put the CGI service into a 'halfway house' of sorts that breaks the DNS records until somebody attends to it.

I do recall changing a password so I think I caused the error to occur. Thanks again for resolving this 😉
