Constant Telephone Calls

I keep getting constant telephone calls from 'TalkTalk' or someone pretending to be from 'Technical Support at TalkTalk'.

I've had upto 20 calls over the last few days and it's getting annoying now. Most numbers are Geographical Locations of Area Codes Gloucester, Bolton, Blackburn, Lancaster & Manchester to name some.

TalkTalk was a previous provider of ours until I moved to PlusNet few years back and I made the best move. I transferred the internet/phone line over to PlusNet. Ever since I've been bombarded with these calls. One call a couple months back stating they said we will stop once we get out telephone number back' and this week has been 'We are terminating your telephone and internet services'

Is there a way to stop them or should I just get a new number?

Buy a phone with the latest call blocker on such as https://www.amazon.co.uk/BT-Advanced-Cordless-Nuisance-Answering-Black/dp/B0787H2X6Q/ref=dp_ob_title...

I've had an earlier model for several years now and not had one unwanted call get through over the whole period.

Thank you both. I've set up Plusnet Call Protect and should be active in next 24hrs.. 

I already have a new 3-way wireless phones that I got. I'll see how it goes and then may consider getting them phones suggested.
