"Plusnet's primary focus has always been providing broadband services, and we have never been nor wanted to be a dedicated email provider."
Recollections may differ. The inserted word 'dedicated' is simply (and possibly intended) a way to weasel out of the reality.
I went back to my original order and welcome pack with PlusNet - 8 Feb 2009 it was. Broadband and Email were given equal weight, indeed as was the landline. Indeed, looking at my final bill before I had to leave, for EE, a few months ago, Broadband was actually billed as £0 - according to PlusNet I was paying Line Rental only. She can "re-interpret" the numbers and "re-interpret" history as much as she likes, but PlusNet offered a Broadband / Landline / Email bundle whilst billing only for the Landline with Broadband and Email both free. That does not show a we have never wanted to be a[n] .. .email provider. business strategy.
Anyway, it makes no difference now, but it's interesting to compare today's corporate jangle with yesterday's marketing (and billing) reality. Perhaps customers have longer memories than here-today-gone-tomorrow employes.

Bear in mind I wasn't an enthusiastic supporter of the original letter - because I couldn't see what the real object was - beyond expressing frustration, which might be understandable. Indeed, the reply from Plusnet and Greenby are pretty well exactly in line with what I would have expected (and I don't mean that cynically). Mostly, IMO, what they both had to say was already well known and has been discussed on this forum, one way or another.
"Chatgpt suggests this response to Plusnet:"
"I also remain disappointed that affected customers have not been proactively informed about this situation. The explanation Greenby has now provided to me would have answered a great deal of the confusion being expressed on the Plusnet Community forum had it simply been communicated to customers directly."
Here - on better communication about the issues from the two parties involved, Plusnet and Greenby - I think is a valid point.
