I'll double check but in the past we've charged for deferred costs when we've done this sort of thing. Having said that, most people actually have true 'profit foregone' contracts now rather than deferred charges.

As Jim's pointed out with the quote from Chris's post, the £2.50 surcharge is applicable in this instance. It's made very clear during the upgrade journey prior to committing.

I think it's fair to say they have/are when you compare the price of today's broadband offerings with those over the last decade.

Why not consider transferring your broadband away from Plusnet to your current phone provider.
It's likely that they'll give you some special deal.
Worth a look anyway.
BTW BT have never sent me an incorrect bill - I see people complaining about Plusnet's accounting system
all the time. I would never let them near my phone service.

Your line rental will increase if you're currently paying £13.99 for it. The email you receive will explain the situation tailored to your particular circumstances.

Depends when you moved to Unlimited? If it was after mid/late June then it's likely you'd start paying the £2.50 surcharge.

Basically, they are all putting their prices up. I wonder why line rentals are going up in price. They seem so expensive these days.

Quite a few new subscribers to BT BB / Sports were from SKY customers, though he didn't give figures.
Many new BB / Sport subscribers have BT phone lines.
No doubt interview this will be repeated on BBC News channel throughout the day.
I wasn't really listening, must try & catch a repeat.
BT is seen as the first viable alternative to SKY for a long time, and they have lots of money, and infrastructure.
It was ironic though, during the BBC interview, the line time ran out, and we got a BT Line placeholder caption !!!
Steve Hewlett the Media Commentator knows his stuff, and was a good Guest.
