I also have to include that I suspect my 2Wire BT2700hgv may have a part in some of this, although it is great at working on long lines like mine, I think it does have problems when they are many ports open, and Lync does like to use lots of ports.
I have a Billion 7800dxl on order (should get that first half of April) and will try to see if there is any noticeable pattern to any residual problems I have, Wireshark is installed again now and hope to capture a log while there are problems.

My router has also changed to a Bilion 7800DXL, would this fiddle with the DSCP value rather than leave it at the value the Ellanoya set it to? I have not heard of this, but maybe PN has.

If so, that's pretty shocking on Plusnet's part?

Quote from: godsell4 Think we might be back to square one with this, Microsoft have just updated to Lync 2013, I had huge audio and video issues this week, a wireshark this morning shows the DSCP field is currentyl 0x00.
My router has also changed to a Bilion 7800DXL, would this fiddle with the DSCP value rather than leave it at the value the Ellanoya set it to? I have not heard of this, but maybe PN has.
Could you send us the Wireshark please and we can have a look?

Thanks for your time on the phone, sorry it took a little longer than I'd expected!
So, it looks as though we're classifying Lync traffic as SSLv3 rather than Lync/VOIP. It should still work fine even if it's classified as SSL because it will classify the traffic as gold, but we should really identify it correctly and I've got plenty of data to go back to the supplier and get them to improve their signature for Lync.
I've set up a Think Broadband ping monitor on your line which I'll get someone to check next week to check to see how your line is performing just to check that there aren't any problems on your line. Packet loss or congestion or something.
Thanks,
Matt
