Can you please comment on the perception that POP3 / IMAP connectivity is not available to some migrate in email accounts?

One point to note - if you do not have a current subscription account with PlusNet (or retained email service) then indeed you cannot access the SMTP server for outbound emails. AFAIK that does not however inhibit access to POP3 or IMAP for inbound.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Im all set now and found how to do a password reset through the old Madasafish portal. Webmail all back to normal for me and I hope it continues to work for the forseeable future

I use an external client and have problems, so to suggest that only viewing as webmail is the problem is fake news and please STOP perpetuating the nonsense.

Good God - how have you managed to stick it out for the last 12 or so years if it has been so bad? (Plusnet took over Metronet some time between 2003 and 2005 - see https://www.plus.net/home-broadband/plusnet-timeline/)

I've used Gmail for many years, with Plusnet email as a second-division email.

I seem to be able to access email via IMAP, provided only small amounts of email sit at Plusnet. I don't use Webmail.

I use Thunderbird as an email client for Plusnet & archive all emails to my PC - using a maildir format means that I have the possibility of uploading to a proper mail server in the future.

You can configure Gmail to access Plusnet email via IMAP or POP3.

Webmail rubbish again! Not quite as bad as it was 6 months ago or whenever the REALLY bad times were but still extremely difficult to log in and access new messages. There has been the problem sending attachments recently and now this!!!! Plus I have had a letter advising that my fixed price contract is going up in price!

I think someone is trying to tell me something. Looks like time to utilise the clause that I can say Bye Bye Now in the next 30 days...... Grrrrrrrrr

As posted previously, I have not had the horrendous problems that others have been experiencing over a long time but since yesterday it has progressively got worse until this evening it is unuseable. Now I know what you have all complained about. Incidentally, I have always used an email client. Come on PN get this fixed out once and for all. I cannot see where you get all these awards from - the service on your email is disgusting.
