Re: what is the correct term for this.....

Here we go again - it appears posting a reply on how to get a much better 'dimple' as you call it, which would not only look more 'professional' but also feel far better than your proposed bodge of using either a drill or countersink bit, both of which would produce a cone shaped hole, clearly meets the low level criteria for your usual fallback defensive tactic of trolling accusations. Roll_eyes

Re: what is the correct term for this.....

I would have thought the least bodged looking solution (if insisting going down the DIY route) would be to get the low profile knobs shown in Reply #19,  file anything off the back that might be sticking out, and then use double-sided tape to attach to the existing knobs ?.

The new plastic front with dimple would look perfect, and the original knobs could remain intact.

As the self-confessed  Resident Troll... I was impressed that you had changed attitude to my post....

The first part of the post was accepted... and I checked it out...

then I suggested that you could buy it for me, and post it f.o.c.

And that is when you changed back into troll mode ..... with your post  stating.

Ah yes, the wallet ...

As per request, done.

I've just nipped down to the Post Office and sent you a couple of different sizes ...

Let me know if you need anything else.

and compounded the trolling buy proving the lie, in your response to me asking for the tracking number and estimated delivery date..* a perfectly legitimate request....

by stating that

I didn't pay the postage, just dropped it in the mailbox.

I thought you could at least afford the fee to receive it.

https://help.royalmail.com/personal/s/article/Help-with-paying-a-fee-to-receive-my-item

Expect it when you see it

and spending time to look up a relevant link to support your action.

Also,  resorting to a personal insult in your last post.....

clearly meets the low level criteria for you

So... I agree with your statement....
