Usenet server username and password

Quite often recently, F9's Usenet server has demanded a username and password, which it does not normally require. This seems to correlate with the dynamic IP address allocated to me - it is always in the same range. If I reconnect and obtain a new IP address, things go back to normal. The following addresses have failed:
80.189.200.98
80.189.221.220
80.189.192.110
80.189.232.198
Could someone at PN please have a look at this? Thanks.

Re: Usenet server username and password

And 80.189.250.30.
That is five failures I have noted in the last month, plus the ones I did not record in the two or three months before that. Cumulatively, this is costing me quite a bit of time and annoyance.
My guess – it is only a guess – is the problem is a line missing from an access-control list – trivial to fix, if one can be bothered.

Re: Usenet server username and password

Looking into this now (ref: 81915).
We did have a problem with the 80.189.0.0/16 subnet a while back but were under the impression we'd fixed it Undecided
I'll report back shortly...

Re: Usenet server username and password

The problem is arising again, with a new range of IP addresses. The following have failed:
146.199.9.126
146.199.29.75
146.199.25.246
146.199.221.39
But these have worked all right:
146.200.204.181
146.200.53.109
Unfortunately, I am now usually being allocated an address in the range 146.199.x.x, which is a nuisance.
Could some kind soul at PN please take a look at this? Thanks.

Interestingly, almost 8 years later and this issue is cropping up again.
