Speed test again

a few weeks ago i was having lots of speed  problems , had a engineer who fitted me a new master socket 5c which sorted it .

But last night i had a few outages see TBB but now i getting slow downs Sad and lots of buffering .

There was suggestions that it was Firefox problem with http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/  so i went to FF57 beta which i thought had fixed it , but am unsure .

Can someone do some tests with FF see what results they get so i can rule out FF  other speed tests site show slowdowns but not as bad odd ?

Re: Speed test again

The BT speedtest appears to give nonsensical results (24Mbits/sec download).

Probably due to its use of the ancient flash plugin.

http://speedof.me/ is believable, as is http://www.speedtest.net/ and these are nearly as good as Plusnet's estimate:-

Estimated line speed:80Mb (This may vary between 70.7Mb and 80Mb) - Checked on 2017-08-29 19:18:04

Current line speed:62 Mb

A further diagnostics attempt just fails.

BTW This is a Fibre 80/20 line. Knuppel

Re: Speed test again

@rongtw If you watch this Video, right click on the video and click stats for nerds.... How many dropped frames you getting flash vs html5 ?

I'm asking this 'cus I know your equipment should play this just fine @60fps with no drops.

here is mine for half the video 1080@60fps no dropped frames over wifi of course.

1080_60FPS.PNG

Run it full screen of course!

Re: Speed test again

I ran the BT speedtest in a Windows VM running on a Linux host.

It gave approximately reasonable answers - weird isn't it. Ticked off
