Recently, we were interviewed fro a French TV programme which I can view on the internet as one can video clips on the BBC website. Being naturall vein, I would like to record it but do not know how to it. It should be possible, I imagine, without too much difficulty.
The transmission does not seem to use special software and it is available to anyone.
Any ideas appreciated.

Do you have a URL for the program?
BTW It's quite possible to download iplayer content from the BBC to hard disk.
Flash content can also be easily downloaded.
This can be burned to a DVD which can be played back through your TV - the iplayer gives roughly VHS quality.
If your site is using flash (quite likely) then the quality will be less than VHS.

Quote from: mal0z You need addition software to capture Flash movies - which of course is how the BBC transmit now is it not ?
The BBC stream using flash - but because the iPhone can't handle flash and the BBC were falling over themselves to
transmit to these little gadgets, they provided DRM-free downloads (in the superior h264 mp4 format)
Of course, since they only looked at what the web browser declared itself to be, this was hacked in nanoseconds.
They've since added a few extra steps ("security by obfuscation")
See http://linuxcentre.net/ for details.
It's possible to download streamed programs to disk (not Windows ) using this program (and other programs).
Have you looked amongst the firefox extensions?

I think we need to wait until the OP posts a URL and then take it from there.

This will give you a .wmv file
I could send it to you as it doesn't appear to have any DRM
Are you Nicholas et Rose-Marie?

Thanks. I got really excited and loaded your link into Real Player. However, when I press Ctrl R, nothing happens at all. I have tried several times without success. Is it because I need to upgrade from the standard version ?
Thanks.
