from memory the TG582  (A plusnet router)
I still have it and reconnect it from time to to time so I can get the port forwarding functionality, but then I lose my BT SPorts while the router is swapped.

Re: ISP PlusNet Launch Faster Hub Zero 2704n Broadband Router

Hi
Just joined the group and plusnet, without going back thru the 19 pages of answers on this thread , How did you get it in expert mode,
I've got ip-cams on fixed ip addresses on the are not on the 192.168.1.x subnet.
So urgently need to change the LAN subnet so I can use the cameras, other wise its get the ladder out and pess the reset button on each of the cameras to get the same
subnet, then I lose all the settings.
The sagemcom handbook on this modem shows extensive menus, Pnet seem to think all there users user windows so cant think for themselves
TIA Richard

Re: ISP PlusNet Launch Faster Hub Zero 2704n Broadband Router

Hiya
I've got port forwarding problems as well. Sad
Can anyone recommend a good ADSL2 router that wont break the bank.
If I've had this amount of problems within the first month , who knows what next 17 will be like, I getting very tempted to go down the cancellation process
and argue breach of contract.
I guess its back on the phone, need to have two DECT phones for PN, one to use for the first hour of waiting , and the other to use when the battery flattens on the first.

Re: ISP PlusNet Launch Faster Hub Zero 2704n Broadband Router

Hi
I've solved my problems, went out and bought a TP Link TD-w8968 router, all the ipcams now sending mail and port forwarding working
therefore the new 2704N router is a pile of pooooooooooooooooooooooo
its not RFC compliant

Re: ISP PlusNet Launch Faster Hub Zero 2704n Broadband Router

I also had the problem with port forwarding changing the forwarded MAC address when the host was listed as 'Unknown'.
The solution for me was to configure a DHCP host name in my client computers so the computer name was no longer unknown.
(Sorry I do not know where this setting is in Windows I am a  Linux user.)
Where my hosts required a static IP address I configured them for DHCP and configured the 2704n to always serve the same IP address using the expert LAN settings at

For a small number of computers, it's worth setting all the
/etc/hosts
files to be identical.
You can refer to other PC's by name then. Smiley
