Re: First project with my Pi Zero

They were out when I checked about this time yesterday. But if they had some then it means there is stock coming again.

Re: First project with my Pi Zero

As I said before, they're in extremely high demand, though it would appear that Pimoroni are tacking on some extra money onto the price, seeing as the Pi store has the Zero for £4 and the "Plus adaptors" kit for £8...

Just gotta be quick about getting onto the purchase button, just as I was with the MagPi #40 re-print and got my PiZero with the magazine... Cheesy

Re: First project with my Pi Zero

Nice case. I am thinking about fitting mine inside an Altoid box. With the usb hub poking out the back.

Re: First project with my Pi Zero

I got that case form this seller on ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/switchedoncomponents
Reminds me of the Isolinear chips they used on Star Trek TNG-onwards, a thin slip of what looks like plastic (granted, as a prop, they are plastic!!) but does computery things... Smiley
As for the Altoids tin thing, I thought about that too, I have one in my desk drawer that is asking for a project to be done with it, but not worked out what yet... Grin

Re: First project with my Pi Zero

£4 for the case! OUCH! I paid £1 for my pi cases and there is more to them than 2 pieces of plastic and 4 screws.

Re: First project with my Pi Zero

Decent case though, compared to the one I got for my Pi B a few years back, this one seems a lot sturdier and less likely to randomly crack like my Pi B's did where things clipped together... Grin

(Better still I've just ordered a Zero!)

Re: First project with my Pi Zero

I still need to get a USB hub for my Pi Zero, it's kind of hard to have just the one USB port for everything when I have two USB devices... Grin

Also puts all your eggs in one basket... Grin
I already have my WiFi adaptor (pictured in an earlier post), just need a hub to attach it to along with my Logitech Unifying receiver from my K400r keyboard, given the size of both I'm surprised they couldn't integrate them onto the Pi board (whether it's a Zero or a 2B), but I guess that'd increase the cost a few pennies...
