Connection to a robo hoover

I'm trying to connect my roborock hoover to the app & onto WiFi using the plusnet router. I have disabled 5ghz & changed the password to something simple as roborock suggests. The hoover will connect to wifi but won't bind. Has anyone had this problem, is it router related or hoover related?

@Anita1 can you explain what you mean by 'wont bind' ?

Re: Connection to a robo hoover

When I attach the hoover via the roborock app, it connects to wifi & then the next step is to 'bind' which I think means send all the info to the hoover & get it set up in the app. But this just keeps coming up as failed. I've done a lot of goggling & tried all the router amendments that it suggests but no luck yet

Re: Connection to a robo hoover

@Anita1 you could try changing the Hub DNS as described here https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Plusnet-Hub-Two-with-Cloudflare-DNS/td-p/1925829 and see if that fixes it

You will need to reboot the hub for the new setting to take effect

Re: Connection to a robo hoover

I've logged onto the hub, dynamic DNS is off & I can't see where I can change the broadband IP addresses...sorry probably a bit beyond me!

@Anita1

Which model is it?

I can see that you need to connect it to your phone but don't understand why connecting it to your Hub 2 is required.

Re: Connection to a robo hoover

It's a roborock qrevo curve. It seems you have to connect it to the WiFi to set it up on the app but I must admit I'm quite confused.

From what I can find, it needs to contact the Cloud server, hence my thought on changing DNS.

@Anita1

If you're in the correct place , then its IPv4 addreses that it needs. If you are on the screen shown in my link, set the 'DNS Auto' to Off and enter the IP addresses as shown in the Primary DNS and Secondary DNS boxes then click Save and reboot the router

Re: Connection to a robo hoover

I can see the primary & secondary DNS numbers starting with 212 but there doesn't seem to be an option to change them
Alternatively I can turn the DNS off on another tab & it gives me a chance to put a primary & secondary DNS number in but when I put in the 212 number off your post it just says incorrect ipv6 number given.

@Anita1 you should be inputting 1.1.1.3  and 1.0.0.3

Are you using a desktop/laptop or a phone/tablet, and which browser?
