Android - Desktop background pic

I found an app to have a "certain young german lady" as the background for my Android Tablet.... but wonder if there is a way of using my own pics....... as in Windows.. " set as background/wallpaper"......

Go to settings, display, wallpaper
You should be able to select one

Yeah, But...... I want to use my OWN pics.... not those supplied, or on and app ... so how can I do that?

Depending on the version of Android, you should just be able to long-press on a home screen and get the option to pick from your gallery.
