Referral discount calculation changed yet again!

Chris,
Again, thank you for the prompt response.  Do the notes you read through include my PMs to Chris Purvey ref VAT on business products please?
Long story short, the BUSINESS referrals page states "referral values exclude VAT".  On my referral tokens BOTH the phone and the BB referral token values are £1.  The BB pays out £1.20 and the PHONE pays out £1.  Both cannot be correct.  If the BB is correct, the PHONE is under-paying by 20p per month.  Note that I had my own business BB & Phone account as a referral for 4 years up until March this year - that too showed the same issue.  VAT in this space seems at best inconsistent, at worse totally confused.

I didn't see reference to it, but to be honest there was a lot of information to take in. I'll add that question into those I'm asking to the developers and get back to you when I get a response.

A quick update,
The refund process is currently being reviewed, basically making sure we have the correct customers affected and that the refunds will process correctly. Hoping for further movement on this soon and I'll provide an update on this.

This is something that has been flagged up and I'm waiting for clarification on, I should have this next week.

I'd like to know why my referrer is not getting any token for the phone service I have - I forget if it's the first or second month. But he's got the BB one. I've paid you so you should be paying him!

@petecov44 - That's because you haven't completed a full billing month yet. Once you have, the referral amount will be paid.

Oh I see. | knew the phone was different that the BB - as he's had his BB credit in his last bill.

I've recently noticed that the discount I receive falls 50p short of the total shown in the Member Centre (I had not looked hitherto).  Would that be a manifestation of this ongoing problem?  I have received the same discount for the last two years.

It's still under code review so I'm waiting for this to complete.
Regarding the business referral, it seems that the £1.20 charge is incorrect, they both should be £1.00. A separate problem has been raised for this(Ref:78909) and I'll keep you updated on the progression of this to.

Thank you for the update. The decision has fallen in the direction I expected. I think the text on the referrals page needs reviewing. Now that the DCT has raised the issue, I hope all of the saved 20 pences get set aside for DCT's Christmas bash!

The code review has passed which is good news. We will now be looking at getting this actioned, we do have to follow certain procedures for this but I'll be presenting this next week with the view to rolling refunds shortly after that.
Once this has been successful I will be pursing the business referral value further.

Thank you for the update - oh the power of thought... just remembered that you'd promised an update sometime today so I thought I'd come an look.  You just did it! 
Is there any chance of getting a list of issues addressed by this update please?  There have been a whole variety of issues discussed over the months, with numerous PN reps. some of which have been fixed and others have not, with hints that they will be.
Your update seems to relate only to outstanding back payments for the non-payments fixed by the fix released earlier this spring.  Has anything been done about the following please...
1. The mismatch between the "Your referrals have saved you £x.xx this month" on the portal welcome page with the amount displayed on the referrals page and the value credit on the account transaction list?
2. The mismatch between the referral credit reported on the current referrals page and the sum of referral tokens?
3. The possibility that the value of token displayed on the current referral page does not reflect what is being paid (business referrals is a subset of this problem)
4. On the current referrals page, the product of the token value and the number of tokens does not match the total credit value.
5. The "invisibility" of referral credit above subscription charges.

On a separate but not directly related matter, has anything been done / considered to allowing referral credits to be set against phone charges?  Over recent months, PN have raised DD payments to cover low value phone call charges whilst I've had referral credit in excess of these charges and indeed one month had "excess" referral credits paid to the bank whilst at the sometime PN processed a DD to get a lower value for phone call.  Bank transaction cost the business money - streamlining this has the potential to trim operating costs.

Not certain that this has been looked at to be honest, I'll raise this and see if any changes can be made if it is worthwhile.
