New Home Phone products

New Home Phone ProductsAs many existing customers will be aware our Home Phone products haven't been changed in quite a while. However, we will soon be launching an updated set of Home Phone products. In a change from how we've designed Home Phone products before you will now see line rental and call plan separated, both on your invoices and in the Member Centre. If you're not currently a Plusnet Home Phone customer then read on to find out about all the upcoming changes and see what extra features we'll be adding to our Home Phone products. We'll be contacting everyone who signs up between now and May 11th by email just after the changes have been made to advise you when your change to the new product will take place. The new products will be as follows: - Line rental: £10.95 - Talk Evenings & Weekends: Free --- Evening and weekend calls to 01/02/03 numbers --- 300 mins international calls (to top 20 destinations), including US and Canada mobiles --- Free calls to other Plusnet customers 24/7 --- Free calls to Plusnet support --- Free Voicemail - Talk Anytime: £5.00 --- Anytime calls to 01/02/03 numbers --- 300 mins international calls (to top 20 destinations), including US and Canada mobiles --- Free calls to other Plusnet customers 24/7 --- Free calls to Plusnet support --- Free Voicemail --- 25% off standard rates to UK mobiles The sharp-eyed amongst you will have noticed there is a slight increase in the line rental element of the products, this is prompted largely by an increase at a supplier level, and is the first price increase we have had in over 2 years. We've added quite a few new features though, and have made some changes which you have been asking for for some time. We feel this will ensure our products remain the most competitive and best value. Should you have any further queries regarding the new products please see the FAQ here or take a wander over to our Community site forums, where you'll find other customers and staff happy to discuss them. If you'd like to see the new tariff details in full then please have a look at our Broadband and Phone packages. Regards Mand

Plusnet has been owned by BT since 2007 so I would expect a slow ramping of prices to match BT. Perhaps Plusnet should have on there header "This is a BT company"

Surely the biggest change is the 81% increase in the Call Setup Charge, from 4.4p to 8p that will make the biggest difference to me.

Will these changes affect Madasafish customers as well??? I ask as I will be recomending parents to a combined BB and Phone package and line install into a new property. And we have friends in the usa so the plusnet package looks good. But would prefere to recomend madasafish to get the referal on MAAF.

Man, My line rental is due to move to PlusNet and I've not been notified until I just checked about line price increase. Does this mean I can cancel my move and stay with my current supplier since the contract has changed without asking me?

I've just recently removed voicemail because of nuisance messages and reduced my extras package to a lower tariff. I don't need free minutes to people abroad I use Skype or iChat for that I don't need call divert. what I would like, seeing that everyman and his wife seems to have 0845 numbers is to have them for free along with caller display and call waiting oh and while we're at it free calls to mobiles for when my wife forgets herself and calls me from home rather than mobile to mobile. 01/02/03/05/07/08 numbers should all be free.

"The weekend period is defined as Midnight Friday to Midnight Sunday. So, on the Evening & Weekends package inclusive calls start at 6pm." Mmm, Weekends package inclusive calls start at 6pm: NO THEY DON'T! Midnight Friday to Midnight Sunday = what a lot of garbage in this reply. Having read the antipathy to the 'phone changes, as expressed - by the majority -above, it also makes me re-consider the changes made to broadband too. 1 stump now pulled out...

i definately think that free 0845 and 0870 numbers should be included in the packages. BT do this and PN are owned by BT anyway. i would also prefer caller display to voicemail and would like the choice.

I second all the comments regarding free 0845/0870 numbers. Nor am I interested in caller display or voicemail etc. I seem to have inadvertently ordered an "upgrade" to PN Value when trying to navigate round the confusing site in search of some comparison information and despite some wrangling am now tied in for 12 b***y months. Then I learn that my BT line rental and my free calls with another provider are being cancelled without my knowledge - and PN charges me a "cessation charge" of £20 for the privilege! I didn't want or order Home Phone. What price customer choice...

With BT on 12 month contract you get free Caller Display and free Evening and Weekend 0845/0870 calls all for 30p more, Surely you guys can beat BT?
