Have a look at your connection settings in Plusnet "Member Centre"

Those details are: your Plusnet username and password, which you use to log into the Members Centre.

From Connection setting FAQs -
Confirm the format of YOUR 'username' or 'login name' by looking at YOUR connection settings

Have you confirmed whether you still have broadband from Plusnet ?
So far you've told us, that you had FTTC, with broadband and phone from Plusnet, you then 'upgraded' to SOGEA (AKA 'fibre'), at the time you expected the phone service was due to be disabled, your internet connection got disconnected, without any alternative explanation of any configuration changes by you which might have stopped the broadband.
So why do you think you still have a working internet service from Plusnet ?
If your broadband service has been discontinued, then seeing the message "PPPoE account is invalid" might be true.

@hellebore1625 - to follow on from @outcast 's post above have you contacted Plusnet to see if they still have you down as a customer?

It might be worth logging in to the "Member Centre" then visiting this - https://www.plus.net/member-centre/home
On MY closed Plusnet account it shows this banner -
I can't remember whether that appeared when my broadband service ended, or after my final bills were settled.

@hellebore1625 Are you able to login to the member centre with the authentication details you have used in the router, i.e. username without the @plusdsl.net and password? I have come across cases where the router somehow adds an unexpected space on the beginning or end of the data fields causing PPPoE connection failure.

The information I need to set it up is:-
1. I have fibre ( no full fibre in the area) and am presuming this is part of the bt open reach system as that is the name on the plug on the wall ….
2. It deco is asking for connection type … when I set it up previously it was PPPoE , is this correct?
A further option is VLAN ID
Thanks for all your help!

@hellebore1625 You have SOGEA which Plusnet call Partial Fibre, connection type is PPPoE. Disable VLAN ID on the router, that is dealt with by the Hub2.
You haven't answered my question about logging into the member centre, can you access your Plusnet account via a mobile connection?
