UnRaid server not connecting to the router

Hi,

I have just got my old server out of storage and am trying to connect it to my home network but it does not appear on the router!

the fixed IP is set to 192.168.1.185 so is in the range of addresses the router has available 

any suggestions welcome as to how I fix this please?

Not sure which Hub you are using?

You say the Hub does not show the device connected, but can you connect to it ro ping to see if its alive?

Have you tried setting the UnRaid server to be DHCP to see if that helps? I wound not expect a DHCP allocated IP Address to change on reboot of a device.

Plusnet  hub 2 

I have tried DHCP on the server, also tried changing IP, resetting the router etc.

a laptop on the cable to the router connects to the network and internet, so cable is good!

This server has been off since before I joined Plusnet so has not been on this router before but worked fine on my previous ISP’s router!

Does this UnRaid run a linux distro or something else.

Is there a way of checking the cable has been detected by the network interface either by a GUI or a terminal when connected?

A linux terminal should allow the command ip link show

A command response with no cable connected
