Re: Plusnet one router won't work with a 6m long ethernet cable

FWIW - not sure if this is of any interest or directly relevant...

Just out of curiosity - I've dug out an old, super cheap, 15 metre cable, cat5e 10/100BaseT (supposedly) - cost me £2.38 (!) inc delivery, from an Amazon third party seller, back in 2011.

Seems to work absolutely fine between my PC and recently supplied Plusnet Hub Two (as it did with ADSL2+ router(s) 'back in the day').

Might be worth considering getting a Hub Two - plenty on eBay, or possibly 'free' from Plusnet if upgrading/recontracting (?).

They sent me a new. Still the same problem. Might just got back to my old net gear router.

Just to clarify - so did they sent you a new Hub One, or a new Hub Two?

Something very odd if both wouldn't work with a mere 6 meter of LAN cable.

Sorry it's a new hub two that replaced a hub two.

Sounds to me like that 6mtr cable is faulty in one way or another.

Did you, by any chance, try swapping out the switch connected to the device? The one you added to the chain seems to work with the hub.
That's RPM to you!!
