Hub2 Router Status shows PN DNS and not Cloudflare I've manually added

Hello All,

I've added Cloudflare DNS, saved, rebooted but then looking at the Basic - Status page, it lists..

Primary DNS: 212.159.13.49
Secondary DNS: 212.159.6.9

And Cloudfare DNS are still manually set.

So which is Hub2 using?

Fix

@pacificoceanblu

The Status page is listing the DNS server IP as allocated to your broadband account by plusnet.

If you assign your own choice of DNS IP Addresses in the IPv4 setting, they would be allocated with the IP address to the DHCP clients.

Hope that makes sense!

Visit this  https://one.one.one.one/help/ website to see is 1.1.1.1 is being used.

If you are looking for better DNS performance set the computer to use 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1
and totally bypass the shared DNS Relay of the ISP's HUB.

If you are looking for better DNS performance set the computer to use 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1

Settings the Hub two DNS found in the IPv4 configuration should do the same, also less work.

I've got a mix of CloudFlare on the router & NextDNS on Firefox  But it makes sense they all should use the same ones.

Thanks

Out of interest why are you tinkering with the DNS, i.e. what are you trying to solve ?
