DNS issue?

Had a powercut and now my router won’t connect to the internet no matter how many times I restart/reset it. Just keeps saying DNS issue?

Re: DNS issue?

@Stoeger What screen does it make that statement on? What laptop/tower are you using, and which browser?

Re: DNS issue?

Are you able to navigate to the router's web interface using your Firefox ?

Re: DNS issue?

OK. I assume you are currently posting from a phone/tablet over a mobile network? Can you post a screenshot of what you see on on the PC, please?

@outcast I know we'll have to wait 12-15 hours before we see the picture, but... 😉

Re: DNS issue?

Yes. What do you need a screen shot of?
Internet status says it’s connected, it just keeps saying the DNS server isn’t responding.

@Stoeger   -  I'll let @jab1 ask you questions, and I'll quietly watch, so we don't overlap at cross-purposes.

Re: DNS issue?

Cheers, @outcast . But an answer to your valid question would  also help.

Re: DNS issue?

“Your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource (DNS) server is not responding”
I’ve tried setting the DNS from auto to google and openDns but still no luck.

Re: DNS issue?

What DNS  servers are configured on your non-responding device? This may need deeper investigation.

Re: DNS issue?

At present it’s set back to auto
Primary DNS: 212.159.13.49
Secondary DNS: 212.159.6.9

Re: DNS issue?

And it says they are not responding?

Re: DNS issue?

No matter which DNS I still have no internet and get the same message.

Re: DNS issue?

So, you have tried THE google and  Cloudflare DNS's as well ?  Bit off my pay scale, but it sounds like your machine may have a problem.

Hopefully, with that information, @outcast may be able to offer suggestions.
