I've been with Plusnet BroadBand with the slowest connection and router, and still wondering why I can't change my Admin Password which is on the card.
Can for SSID and that Password, but cannot stop others from connecting by admin and finding my new connection details...
Is there any way to change the admin password. Anyone found a way?
Or possibly using my old BT HUB5 router instead, might allow me to connect and have full access and capabilities to change the Admin password.
I could do this with the bthub5 when I was with them.
Any help or confirmation of limitations would be very handy, and gratefully received.
Thanks,
Sunlich
Fixed! Go to the fix.

You don't say which Plusnet Hub that you have so it's difficut to help with that.
See here for using your Home Hub 5: https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Use-a-BT-Hub-2-3-4-or-5-on-a-Plusnet-connection/m-p/1192234#...
Many of us use a BT Smarthub. You will find the settings etc. pinned to the top of the Router board

I didn't note the Plusnet router model because it simply soenst have anything remotely like that on it or the manual.
It's simple described as PLUSNET ROUTER. AND that's it. Stupid.
It's for the lowest BroadBand speed, soni guess it's the crappiest one available. I received it Nov 2020, so it's the basic model that was available then.
I'll try setting my bt hub5 using the info from your link.
Thanks for that.
Not secure if cannot change your admin password.

Hi Baldrick1 ,
Thanks for that BT link.
I got it setup now, and working nicely both on my Windows desktops and Android smart phones.
I've switched to my BThub5 now. And feel much more secure.
I've had hostile & non_hostile_nosey_parkers in home network for a few years now.
Started with hostile that locals employed to steal from me, and now just the locals by the, mselves nosing around just because....
I'm autistic and seemingly an easy target to pick on. I enjoy it a little.... Hehe..
I'm not your average Autist.
Thanks loads for your help...BThub5 now in operation.
IU just saw your post moments ago, and ill have a look at that option a bit later. Just tp get a better understanding of how this PlusNET router works.
Thanks for that too.
Much appreciated guys/gals.

Thanks for your help earlier. Havw full control over all naming and said and asminnpaqwoes changes. Have changed ALL my old BT defaults to my chosen AccessName and SSID And ADMIN passwords to new ones. Much better hub controls than the basic plusnet router. And it seems a little faster.
Thanks agai bforbyour help. Really means a lot.
No more help required for this issue.
Thank you and everyone else who replied with information about my request.
Take care all of you, and have a good coming out of the madness that's afflicted the world... Hope everyone is unscathed.
