Avast Showing Router Vulnerable To Hacks - Despite Settings Changes

Hi,

I wonder if someone could help me with this problem please?

I ran a network scan today with Avast, and for the first time since I've been using it (which is a number of years) it picked up a vulnerability named HNS-WAN-ACESS, which it say leaves my router open to the internet and to hackers.

I've followed all the instructions I can find online to remedy this, resetting the router, closing port 30005, turning off remote management and turning off Wi-Fi, yet the scan is still showing the same vulnerability.

Can someone explain what i need to do to fix this issue please?

Normally in this kind of situation I'd be inclined to think Avast was creating a false positive, but the fact that I've never before encountered this problem with Avast or NowTV leaves me concerned.

Thank you in advance for any help.

This is an old chestnut. The answer is to stop using free virus checkers.
