AC2100 Wireless MU-MIMO VDSL/ADSL Modem Router - Archer VR2100

In view of the ongoing issues with Plusnet Hub One router (5GHz WiFi) I am looking to replace it with a third party device.

The one that has caught my attention is the one from 'TP-Link'  - model shown in the 'Subject Line' - and wondered if anyone else had tried it?

Appreciate any thoughts / comments from those who may have.

@viffergb

It'll work with your Plusnet account.

Much cheaper alternatives are:

1. Get a BT Smarthub from an auction site. Setting instructions and other information is pinned to the top of this Roter board.

2. Wait until you are nearly ready to renew your contract then ring and ask for a Plusnet Hub Two, paying the £7.99 delivery charge only. These have the same performance as a Smarthub.

Both options have better wireless performance and neither suffer noise or 5GHz problems.

@Baldrick1

Thanks for the reply and confirmation that the TP-Link will work.

1. No too sure about putting my trust in auction sites...no guarantees as to the integrity of the device...depends on price being asked I guess 😉.

2. Still have some 8 months left on current contract, so I really want to implement a solution before then.

Decisions...decisions...but at least the 'TP-Link' is in the running.

Thanks again.
