Can I specify a particular date to start contract

My contract with my present supplier ends on the 16 August.   When is the best time to put my Plusnet order in .   I don't want Plusnet starting before the 16th August otherwise I'd be up for terminating too early with extra costs.  (I'm already connected to Full Fibre so its just a change of supplier)  Thanks.

Is your Full fibre connection an Openreach one ?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Oh crumbs.  You have me there.  I changed to Sky and they put the Full Fibre connection in. I know they connected from the street into the house

@CornishLass Ok, well Sky do normally use Openreach ?

Does the ONT (little white box into which your router is plugged) they installed have an Openreach logo on it ?

The reason for asking if the existing service is an Openreach one, is that if it is then the transfer to Plusnet is simple. There's no engineer visit required, everything can be done remotely and the transfer completed in a couple of days
