Final bill

Hi, left Plusnet of 10 Dec with my contact expiring on the 11th
I have received a bill (dated 7th December) for double my normal monthly rate - any way of confirming if this is correct? I have a feeling that I have been charged for broadband for December into Jan at out of contract rate

Re: Final bill

That sounds likely.

You will get a refund but it may be faster if you phone and complain.

The bills are generated a bit in advance so this can happen sometimes.

I am the satisfied customer....

Thats almost certainly the situation.

You are billed monthly in advance. If the bill was generated before you actually left, then it will have charges for the next month.

Since your minimum term contract expires during this period your charge would have reverted to the out-of-contract rate.

Once your final bill is generated (up to 21 days after leaving) then you will be refunded for the advance charges from the actual leaving date.

@mr_moo

Do not cancel yout DD until you have received the refund, otherwise it will take much longer to receive a cheque..
