iphone asking for a PIN when I try to listen to voicemessages

Please would someone help this exasperated Foster Carer!   (Thank you!!!!)

It's an iphone 12 mini although I assume it's a Plusnet issue?

When going into voicemails I get a voice message saying "enter your pin " and the normal number keypad comes up.

I haven't to my knowledge ever set a voicemail pin on this or indeed my previous phone....and I am sure that the the old phone never asked me for a pin or password as i accessed the voicemails.

I have tried to change the voicemail pin/password by going into ..... settings/phone/change voicemail password ....

I enter a new voicemail password......then i press "Done"....then enter the new password again and press "Done"...

and then it flashes up "voicemail unavailable. Try again later. ".      I would so appreciate some help.

Thanks for your post @FlyingHippo and welcome to our Community Forums.

I'm sorry to see you're having issues listening to your Voicemail messages.

If you dial 555 do you get an option to create a PIN?

Thank you Anoush.

Yes. It says "enter your pin".

What should I do next?

Re: iphone asking for a PIN when I try to listen to voicemessages

Thanks for getting back to me @FlyingHippo and I'm sorry for the really delayed response.

If you're happy for us to create a PIN for you our side which should resolve this, could you private message me the following details to pass our data protection checks?

+Your mobile number

+Your full name

+Your full address

+Are you the account holder?

+Your date of birth

+Last 2 digits of your bank account number

+Last 2 digits of your bank sort code

When private messaging me, please include a link to this thread as our staff private messages go through a centralised system internally so I might not actually personally message you back. Although just a few of us monitor our Community Forums so there’s a good chance I’ll pick it up
