Voicemail notification

Hi all

Today, after receiving many voicemails from a blocked number I decided to call Plusnet to disable my voicemail but now I'm left with a notification on my screen that I can't delete. I've Googled but they all say the same thing and it hasn't worked for me. All help is welcome.

I'm sorry to see you're still seeing a voicemail notification on your phone. If we've turned off voicemail our end then it sounds like your phone's not updated to reflect this. Can you try calling voicemail on 555 to confirm it's switched off first?

I couldn't call 555 as I no longer had voicemail so the only solution was to turn to Twitter and as on the Plusnet page for them to turn my voicemail back on so I could listen to the messages and then the notification vanished and for them to turn off voicemail again.
