Mobile data not working but can receive phone calls

Hello everyone

Since October 20th my mobile has not been working properly - the mobile data does not work. I can receive phone calls and WIFI works OK. I'm using a Pixel 3a.

I have tried:

1. Restart mobile
2. Turn data off and then back on again
3. Remove sim card and put back in
4. Created new APN and switched to use that one according to the details here:

I can see an H icon on the EE network (even though I am plusnet customer) but it says "networks unavailable".

Any ideas? Its really annoying not being able to use my phone without wifi Please help!

Are you sure that the phone is unlocked and not locked to EE

The phone is on automatically select network, and if I manually pick Plusnet 4G, I still have the same problem

Hi @ashowen,

I'm very sorry to hear that this is occurring. Have you had a chance to use the phone elsewhere, to see if the same problem occurs in other locations? Also, please could you try inserting the SIM into another phone to see if this has any affect?

Ahha! We took the 'old' sim card and put it into another phone that works with 4G, and the 4G suddenly stopped working in the other phone... Swapped the original sim card back and the 4G worked again.

We think its the SIM card too now, so we've ordered a replacement Thank you for the suggestion & help.
