I know I'm really late to the party but my HE Tunnelbroker IPv6 Tunnel has become unusable and I've had to take it down. Good things being spoiled by silly people. I have a static IPv4 with Plusnet. May I be considered to eek in to the trial please?

Getting on for 1 week and no drama, except for one issue.
I use Unifi UDM SE gateway device. For me IPv6 is broken on default (untagged) VLAN - same is mentioned on Unifi forums. This isn't a big issue because that VLAN should be a management only network. The issue is strange because IPv6 is configured correctly (assignments / discovery etc are ok), but some services like YouTube are broken. I've investigated to the point I'm reasonably sure this isn't an issue with my config.
The worry is because the out-the-box setup only has default VLAN, and I've seen many Unifi users never move beyond this. IPv6 is disabled by default out-the-box. If these users simply enable IPv6 they may have issues.
Any other Unifi users on this trial?

I've got a UCG-Fiber on my desk waiting to go, so that's very timely info!
Not sure quite when I'm going to take the plunge as I need to get up to speed with the unifi approach to managing firewalling and PD assignment and so on in a non-GUI / scriptable way before flipping over my existing setup. The goal is to minimise any downtime on my self-hosted email service.

The UCG-Fiber is the sweet spot in the Unifi gateway offering at the moment. An excellent device.
One thing I should mention is that my issue with IPv6 default VLAN isn't all the time. However it's occurred enough for me, and I was only using this VLAN to do some IPv6 tests, so I'm just avoiding using it now. I may go back and investigate if I get some time.
Anyway the trial is going very well from my point of view.

Try the 1500 MTU and see if that helps. I've just finished my writeup.

Thanks for that script/setup - it looks like a great starting point.
I saw the UCG-Fiber warning that moving WAN to a port other than 5 6 or 7 comes with a performance hit. I speculate that's down to hardware accelerated NAT requiring one of these ports, but I haven't seen anything to confirm that yet.
So I think I'm going to base off your script but stick to port 5 for the PPPoE connection. The only 10gbe kit I have at present is my desktop mac mini which isn't co-located with the ucg so I'm not expecting to feel the pinch from that in the short term. When I eventually swap out an antique Aruba 48x1gbe POE switch for the unifi equivalent, I'm expecting that to use 10gbe gbics.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

Weird they're talking about port 5 as it's still under switch0. My guess is the others are 2.5Gbps so have a performance hit for faster than that internet connections.
There are definitely reasons for sticking with port 5/6/7, however in my case, given I've got FTTC hitting a lofty 67Mbps down and 18Mbps up, I don't think I'm going to be seeing that performance hit any time soon. When I get my FTTH build this year, I'll review my options then.
I'm not ruling out a switch with 10Gbps ports but they're a lot of money for what I'd want.
More the point, you've looked at the writeup, decided what you want to do and modified it to your needs. To that end, I'm happy. Just remember that if it's port5, eth4, you'll still need to modify switch0. Conversely I haven't tested it but don't believe that sfp ports require that. Hope that makes sense.

Indeed - almost the only reason I am deploying the UCG is that my home-brew N150 6 x 2.5gbe small-form-factor PC without a switch-based architecture has started to hit its limits after FTTP became available here, and I fell for the offer of the 900 mbps service for pretty much the same I was paying for the 145mbps line.
Agree re the 10gbe switch costs. It's why I stuck with the Aruba for now. I am fortunate to have had the house flood wired with ethernet when it was built, but that is 24 ports before talking NAS, home lab, external POE cameras and so on directly wired into the switch. More management overhead than the Unifi way, but more than sufficient for now.

You're a person after my own heart. When I moved into my current house almost 10 years ago, I put an entire box of Cat5e ethernet cable in. Took up the floors, hid everything beautifully. 28 data points including 3 ceiling WAPs. 1Gbps is feeling a little aged now though for some things so I'm about to put Cat6a to the livingroom ceiling and fibre to the office. My NAS is 10Gbps as should be my new U7 XG so I want to take advantage of those. Overkill, maybe, but it's fun.
