Talk Anytime Call Plan

Hello Everyone,
I would like some advice regarding my telephone and the charge for using it anytime. First question:-
1. Does the Plusnet Value package include Anytime Calls? My reading of the Plusnet web site says it does - I am open to correction, always.
Thank you

PS:- If it helps to determine the above, I pay £12.99 per month for Plusnet Value.

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

The broadband packages do not include any calls.
If you want to add calls you need to add either evening and weekends (essentially line rental) or anytime which is £3.50 on top of line rental
You appear to be on Value on a Market 1 Exchange

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

Thank you Oldjim.
It is not what I am on that concerns me it is my lack of understanding what I am reading (call it a senior set of moments)
On the Plusnet web site it says (to me - at least)
1.Home Plusnet Value Broadband and Anytime Calls £9.99 per month (on offer for a lower price at the moment)
Is this correct?
Thanks

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

No - you are misreading it.
It states from £9.99* per month plus £11.99 line rental
and the * points to the bit about Market 1 and 2 where the price increases after 3 months to £12.99 in a Market 1 area
The basic cost breakdown is
Broadband Value £6.49 (Market 3) Line Rental £11.99 and extra for Anytime calls £3.50

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

Once again thank you Oldjim for the prompt reply.
I actually pay (and have done for the last few months) £12.99 + £11.99 per month. What are you saying that I should get for this charge?

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

Evening and weekend calls - if you want anytime that is £3.50 extra. I assume that the line rental is paid to Plusnet as the BT standard line rental is higher
Whether you go that route depends on how many calls you make during the day

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

Thank you.
What am I NOT understanding here then:-
http://www.plus.net/packages/broadband-anytime-calls/
To me, it quite clearly says, Broadband and Phone / Value Broadband Talk Anytime / No Annual Contract all £9.99 + VAT + Line Rental +VAT

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

what jim
you have to click on priing, which hasnt got the * to find
Quote
PricingHide Detail
* Plusnet Value: If you live in a low cost area it costs £6.49 a month. If you live outside one of these areas it costs £6.49 a month for the first three months, then £10.79 or £12.99 a month depending on where you live. See how we compare on price in your area.

so £6.49 +£3.50 = £9.99

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

Thank Oldjim.
With respect, I took on board all that you have said thus far, including the asterisk i.e. Market 1. So, I am in market 1 on the package so for £12.99 I should get as follows:-

Here is the cut and paste of the Asterisk:-
* Plusnet Value: If you live in a low cost area it costs £6.49 a month. If you live outside one of these areas it costs £6.49 a month for the first three months, then £10.79 or £12.99 a month depending on where you live
End of Cut and Paste
Thus Plusnet Value (and Anytime Calls according to your advert)  should come out at £12.99 for myself. http://www.plus.net/packages/broadband-anytime-calls/

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

Unfortunately no. That is the price change for Broadband according to the Market of the exchange
The price of £9.99 consists of Broadband £6.49 plus Anytime calls £3.50 = £9.99
Your price is Broadband £12.99 plus Anytime Calls £3.50 = £16.49

Re: Talk Anytime Call Plan

This is the quickest one I have found http://www.plus.net/packages/ and click on Pricing Show Detail at the bottom of the page to see the broadband price changes
You need to do a bit of arithmetic to get the £3.50

Oldjim, Would that sit well with the Trading Standards officer?
I can't find the £3.50 reference there?
