Dialling code cost - 0844

Good evening.
I'm considering sudscribing to plus.net home phone; a code we frequently dial for cheap international calls is 0844
The list of codes/prices does not show this. The customer helpdesk thinks it is charged the same as 0845, but suggested I try this forum as best bet as we are out of office hours.

It's probably on the price list somewhere (under specialised number call tarrif) but nothing in that section is any use unless you know the number ranges that the codes apply to.  Best bet is to wait until Mand has a look in here and spots your post (likely to be Monday now) - or drop her a PM.

I've done a bit of hunting on BT's website - you'd need to find which 0844 number you're using from this list and get the appropriate code from the "charge rate" column.  You can then look up that code on PN's price list.
e.g. 0844 0010 xxxx  falls into charge band i22 which would cost 2.85p/min daytime and 0.95p/min evening and weekends on PN.

Hi there,
AFAIK these calls can cost anything from 2p per minute to 10p per minute.
The international call services usually are a flat rate, which will apply at all times.
If it's a specific number please feel free to PM it to me and I can give you a more definite idea of the pricing.

Despite the opaque nature of BT's call costs (I wonder why?)
Thanks to your help I've found the answer for the two 0844.. nos I use - 3p/4p respectively including VAT, for interest
plus.net is same cost
