Hi, I've been having some extreme problems with path of exile as well. I see you have already worked out a solution to this?
It seems like 100% packet loss randomly occurs out of nowhere. POE support advised to contact the ISP as it is a known issue with some providers. Please could you look moving my connection to a different VLAN? As I understand that is the current workaround ?

Hi,
Are you seeing any other performance issues with your broadband? Or is it just PoE?

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply didn't notice there was a reply.
I notice a lot of irregularities, it will spike for no reason on random periods. I would understand if it was peak hours and the speed was throttled to some extent, but I get packet loss to Origin servers as well as an example or the mentioned POE problems at 2-3 am.
Im not sure if the BQM will help bellow

Thanks for the BQM, apart from the issues you’re experiencing while gaming do you have any issues with your broadband connection when for example browsing the web or streaming?
Are your devices also connecting over WiFi or wired directly to your router via an ethernet cable?
Finally when you notice the latency spikes is there anything on your network downloading or uploading?

It's all wired connection, I couldn't tell you while browsing as it depends on the sites more than me, however, there will be times when as an example a youtube video will grind to a halt and then start buffering again at full speed which feels definitely like a weird packetloss issue.
I'm a CCNA as well, so if you need me to do more extensive tests, let me know, I hope my time will allow it.

Thanks for the detail.
I've done a number of tests on your line which aren't finding a definitive cause for the issue.

Your connection seems to be solid (I'd ignore that the connection stops at 3am, that's just our reporting system not catching up at the moment to show your connection is still online).
There's no congestion seen on the VLAN:

Service layer data is showing your line in really good condition:

This may be a long shot but do you see the issues across multiple devices for example another computer or laptop? Is the computer you're using wired directly into the router using an ethernet cable, not using any powerline adapters or switches?
I've also got in touch with our suppliers quality assurance team to check the VLAN out in more detail, and I've been advised that they're not seeing any issues either as their graphs show the usage below where they'd expect.
However they have identified a quieter VLAN so they've agreed to move you on to that, which should happen within 24-48 hours though sometimes overnight so I'll check back tomorrow.
Failing that I'd say the next step is arrange an engineer visit with you requesting that they do a "lift and shift" moving you to a different port at the cabinet which can quite often fix odd issues like the ones you're experiencing.

It looks like our suppliers quality assurance have dug into this in more detail and advised that they believe the problem to be related to interference as opposed to a VLAN issue so they haven't moved you to a different one.
Is there anything near your router which may be giving off electrical interference or anything going off on a timer?

Hi,
Thanks for the detailed info. As far as interference- I can strongly confirm that layer1 is fine, there is nothing emitting EM as far as I am aware. May I ask, how and at what point did they detect this? Also, just to clarify, it is EM that we are talking about ?

I think our suppliers were going off the test results above and I'm afraid we don't see what type of interference it is. Do you experience problems using a direct ethernet connection and across multiple devices?
