Using old Router as Bridge

Hi, I'm curremtly waiting for full Fibre to be connected to my property and as I have a Full Fibre router I was wondering if I can use the old router as a Bridge or Access point ... if so what are the user name and password to access this router ...

Regards John Marshall

Re: Using old Router as Bridge

@John40131

Which Hub are you referring to? When you say 'bridge mode' you are looking for a modem for your new router?

The Hub One does not support 'bridge mode' but the Hub two does.

To make revert a Hub two to a modem

Connect to the Hub Home page, navigate ->Home -->Advanced settings --->Broadband ---->Bridging -----> make enabled Yes.

The Hub Two lights will now be a pink/purple colour.

Connect any LAN port of the Hub to the WAN port of the router.

The router internet connection needs to be PPPoE, username is youraccountname@plusdsl.net using the members centre password. There is no requirement for a VLAN the Hub provides that.

Re: Using old Router as Bridge

@Dan_the_Van  The op is expecting to get Full Fibre so bridge or modem mode does not apply,

The ONT is effectively the FTTP modem. I think the enquiry is about configuring a Plusnet hub to be a wireless access point.

Re: Using old Router as Bridge

@RealAleMadrid I

I did ask if they are looking to use a Hub as a modem, so they have the information if required, just trying to be helpful!

Yes I know all about ONT's thank you.

Edit: Waiting for Full Fibre suggests they are still using a stand alone modem or modem/router.
