Settings for Unifi Dream Router direct connection to FTTP

Hi there

I'm trying to bypass my Hub 2 and connect my ONT straight into the WAN port of my Unifi Dream Router.

I followed this the instructions on this thread --> Plusnet fttp full fibre with Ubiquiti USG - Setup - Plusnet Community, but it doesn't work.

I've attached my settings in Ubiquity's Internet settings but it's not playing.

The only possible thing it may be, and this is another question - is your @plusnetdsl password the same as when you sign in to Plusnet's website?

I tried to find the password for this in my account details on the Plusnet website but couldn't find them.

Thanks for any advice anybody has.

- D

Yes, the @plusdsl password is your account password, which you should have kept a record - it is intentionally obscured in your online account, for security considerations.

Thanks for confirming that that was the password I was using so it's not that which I've messed up then!

Re: Settings for Unifi Dream Router direct connection to FTTP

Fix

@dwrightpn  but the real problems are:-

1) your username should end with @plusdsl.net NOT @plusnet.dsl

2) VLAN ID should be disabled NOT set to 101

@MisterW

Oh. So maybe I was an idiot! I'll try that again and remove the VLAN, I did read that had to be set but let's give it a go!

Thanks in advance and if this fixes it then I'll mark your answer as the fix!

[UPDATE] This fixed it! Thank you for spotting my mistakes

As  a mere mortal, I cannot see the settings referred to -  only the dreaded 'yellow triangle' 😀

That holding image really needs to state "Image under Moderation" for those not familiar with the process.

Perhaps one of the SuperUsers could flag this up to PN.

@bmc Its being discussed.

@jab1 you should be able to see it shortly... I'd forgotten you wouldn't be able to see it. I'm sure you'd have spotted it before me if you had.

@bmc I am familiar with it - it is just frustrating for those trying help to be unable to see what the issue is.

@jab1

You may be familiar with it and I am thanks to you but there will be others who have no idea what's going on.

@bmc

The process was announced in "Community Announcements"
