hi,
Last week I opted to have full fibre installed and through the plusnet application process determined a date for installation appointment as 31/07/2026.
Today I received an sms from Openreach
"Hi, Openreach on behalf of Plusnet.
We've received your Full Fibre order. We need access to the outside of your property to complete our pre-work and attach a small box. Once complete, we'll confirm your appointment date.
Reply ACCESS if someone needs to be present (e.g. locked gates) or MORE for extra info"
Our property is a street property so access to the front of the house is easy, so I dont need to respond with ACCESS.
1. I wanted to check is this appointment for Openreach to carry out necessary work up to our house wall. and on the 31/07 (hopefully) they come and complete the internal installation?
2. Is there anyway I can communicate to Openreach at this stage that the cable should enter the house on the left middle side of the house because this is where the nearest double power socket is, when I think they might assume it should enter the right side of the house. (Or wherever the external box is placed, they would run the cable externally to the left middle of the house and then enter in the appropriate place?).
Many thanks.

If you can be there I would text ACCESS so you can confirm things before work is done.
There is some leeway as to where the internal ONT is sited. Often it's at the same location as the external box (CSP) but you talk to the installer on the day.
Have a look at the following for information. Note that the video is wrong about power sockets. Your router connects via ethernet cable so can go anywhere you're happy to run said cable.

What does the BT checker state in the notes at the bottom as that will help understand what work might be required?
