Hello,
I am new to this forum to this may be user error!
I am trying to send a message to @bobpullen in the "Plusnet fibre broadband does not cope with uploads..." thread to request that he applies to config changes to my router as I have the same intermittent drop out symptoms and the same Hub One router (Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.226 | Last updated 17/09/16).
Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a "post new message" type button. I can see a "reply" to a message button but not one to add a new message.
I can send him a private message either because when I try it says I have insufficient privileges to do so. So I'm not sure what the issue is. I only registered with the forum this morning specifically to ask Mr Pullen if he can apply the changes to my router.
I tried going via the PlusNet Support Team and held a Web Chat to ask if they could contact Mr Pullen to request this but they said they could not due to Chinese walls between the forum and them. That seems silly to me, especially as they are all branded and owned by PlusNet. Mere bureaucratic nonsense.
But if someone could advise on how to post in that thread or PM Mr Pullen I would be grateful.
Thank you.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Click on his name and this will take you to his profile, and from there you'll be able to send him a PM (right side of page)

Unfortunately that doesn't work.
All I see are options to make him a friend or ignore him. Nothing to PM him except a "Private Message" button at the bottom of the page. Clicking it tells me I have insufficient privileges.
I am not sure whether my account is set up correctly or whether I have to wait a certain length of time or post a number of messages before I can PM.

You should now be able to PM him now that you have posted on here. If you still cant it will be because you have not verified your email address.

Thank you. It looks like posting a few messages has sorted the PM issue out.
I've also figured out how to post a new message. I have to select the "reply" button that appears in someone else's message. I assumed this would quote my message in someone else's message but it doesn't. It just posts a new message. Which I find strange UI design.
Hey Ho.

It's a spamming deterrent, and not unique to the Plusnet Forum.

Well fair enough then. Although I don't think the process is well enough explained or signposted. Thanks

If it was then that would also help the spammers

I'm posting gobbledygook just so I can get to post a new thread; but not sure if that works.
My problem is that 1472 provides last caller =02380940905 at 15:08 which would be correct.
CallerID shows 'INTERNATIONAL' which is apparently incorrect
1572 call protect says last caller is my daughter's cell which was sometime previous to last call. Unfortunately this prevents blocking of 02380940905 unless I type that in manually.
To summarise CallerID doesn't work and call protect doesn't work

The button is there at the top of each board. It's called 'Start a Topic'.
