Login to your modem/router and get the line speed from there.
If you're still using an Openreach modem, you don't have that option, so either Plusnet can retrieve your line speed from the diagnostics they can run, or they could send you a Hub One to use.

Still using openreach modem, although have just received Hub One from Plusnet I have not attached it yet as I am re-configuring my study.

That's good to know!! BT never used to let me do this as they were dependent on their own speed test results before they'd even contemplate looking at my speed issues (IIRC I sent you a PM about my problematic connection history scrookes...? if not it was another PN staff member). Having said that, this was 2+ years ago, so maybe this has changed. I do recall the then BT CEO accepting a result from 2wire.com, but sadly 2wire.com have closed that part of their website.

How do the 54.93Mb downstream and 16.28Mb upstream compare with your estimate?

Taken from the estimate I am on Cab28 Mosborough Exchange
VDSL clean (downstream) 67.6 high 50.2 low
(upstream) 18.4 high 12.3 low
If it is impacted then (downstream) 53 high 30 low
(upstream) 15.6 high 6.8 low
Do not really understand as it also states FTTC is available which is what I am supposed to be on

I am aware yours is still not working. BT Wholesale have advised that for your SVLAN it is returning details in the wrong format. I've been advised at least 2 more weeks for them to resolve on yours sadly.

Well after the successful test carried out either late last night or very early this morning, which has been observed by PN, further tests proved fruitless with the usual error message following the speed results.
No devices were, to my knowledge, using the connection and:
And my lower estimate is 24.1Mbps, so it almost below this again....

BT Wholesale Broadband Performance Test now seems to be working but showing strange results.
Max achievable download speed 61.51Mbps, actual download speed 63.68 Mbps.
Acceptable range of speed is 40 Mbps - 61.51 Mbps. IP Profile is 61.51 Mbps. ?

This laptop wasn't using the net and any other devices were not, to my knowledge, surfing the net when the hub dropped the connection. I again had the red BB light on for a short while before the connection came back up. At the time of posting, it is working for me.
Although I'm surprised to see the result is green regarding the download speed, as the minimum speed should be 24.1Mb/s
(only posting as some random sites are taking longer to load than what they have done in the past)
