Re: Asus DSL-N66U fibre woes

Hi,
Although the Asus you've got is clearly causing problems, I'd have to recommend an Asus DSL-AC68U with the latest available firmware.

I have one of these on a rural Plusnet FTTC line, delivering a stable connection with top-end sync rates for the line and no issues whatsoever.
Great wifi performance on 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz too.
There were loads of issues with earlier firmware releases around sync stability, but these have been resolved - and the latest firmware seems to be very stable.
Any questions, shout..

Re: Asus DSL-N66U fibre woes

Hi all
I gave up trying with DSL-N66U in the end.  Asus support acknowledged a firmware issue and I tried RedBull's advise but it just wouldn't play ball.
I purchased a Billion 8800NL instead and had it all up and running in minutes.  It's not as pretty but it works and so far, so good, and it's cheaper.
Only gripe so far is the built in DLNA server seems to list everything in a single root folder rather than showing the actual sub folders.  I'll look into that, though.
Thanks to everyone that offered assistance, and RedBull in particular.
