Do you know when the sites last worked? There was a change around 14th October as per the title of the thread, have they worked since then do you know?

In my own case, it worked fine up until sometime yesterday afternoon/evening (18/11).

This looks like a repeat of the problem from about 4 weeks ago: https://community.plus.net/t5/Everything-else/Can-t-access-https-homepages-plus-net/m-p/2025909#M397...

Thanks, I can't see any obvious different from the sites reported here and one of our test sites that is working so looks like it may be different cause to last month so I've got it reported and will post back when I hear what the problem is.

Re: no-one can access my website that is on a domain hosted on plusnet. It worked unti 14 Oct 2025

@dave Changes to the site were last made on 04/11 and it was visible then.

This morning I remembered that our site is actually osbornedance.plus.com but when we joined Plusnet in 2005 we took the offer of having osbornedance.co.uk domain name. Putting osbornedance.plus.com in my browser works fine whereas the .co.uk comes up with not found. This is where my DNS redirects etc knowledge starts to get thin but IMHO there is a pointer from plus.com to our .co.uk missing!

Hope I've explained this okay and that this is the issue. Also really hope that it can be resolved quite quickly 🙏

I've also added this to the Plusnet open question number 251523221

Just to add my website www.myusername.plus.com is working, it is just the .co.uk domain that is not.

So as above, likely something to do with the pointing of the domain name to the actual .plus.com webspace.

http://osbornedance.co.uk/

Is accessible @Lordwotsit

It appears to be an issue with your SSL which a lot of browsers now reject. Although you are probably not collecting any information from your site, browsers do not like the http route.

@dave

It looks related to the subtle difference between

For the majority of folks they are interchangeable.

For those of us having fixed IP addresses in the context of account.plus.com, it makes the difference of pointing at home pages or our own home service.

Thanks, found the cause, going fix it with a DNS change as that's the quicker resolution which should be out this afternoon. I'll confirm when it's done.

Should be fixed now, the 3 sites I've seen here are all working for me now.

Re: no-one can access my website that is on a domain hosted on plusnet. It worked unti 14 Oct 2025

Appears to be all working for osbornedance.co.uk

Was this a point fix or a generic fix for all domains?

A root domain appears to point directly at Plusnet's servers, where as the www. version is routed via Greenbysites - should they not be the same?

> osbornedance.co.uk
Server: [192.168.1.254]
Address: 192.168.1.254

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: osbornedance.co.uk
Addresses: 212.159.9.91
          212.159.8.91

Server: [192.168.1.254]
Address: 192.168.1.254

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: homepages.plus.greenbysites.com
Address: 212.159.8.91
Aliases: www.osbornedance.co.uk
          homepages.plus.net

Also for reliance, should not the www. version also resolve to both IP addresses?

@Champnet

I would agree, not always, but in a simple setting they usually are.
